In English-speaking countries, wreaths are used typically as household ornaments, most commonly as an Advent and Christmas decoration.They are usually made from evergreens and symbolize strength, as evergreens last even throughout the harshest winters. Source: Kiddle – Wreath facts for kids

  • Large Piece of Posterboard
  • Pencil
  • 6 Pieces of Green Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Stapler
  1. Trace around your hand two times on a piece of green construction paper.
  2. Stack and staple it to two more pieces of green construction paper. Staple all around the hand outline to make cutting easier.
  3. Cut out both hands through all three pieces. Repeat. You will now have 12 hands.
  4. Arrange and glue in a wreath pattern on your posterboard.
  5. Print countdown ornaments.
  6. Cut out and paste down one ornament every day until Christmas. Ornaments are numbered with the date.
