The first paper bag machine was patented by Francis Wolle in 1852. Margaret E. Knight (1838-1914) was an employee in a paper bag factory when she invented a new machine part to make square bottoms for paper bags.

- Regular paper grocery sack
- Scissors
- Buttons
- Rick rack
- Glue
- Construction paper
Instructions
- To make this Recycled Grocery Bag Vest, cut the grocery sack down the middle from top to bottom and flip inside out.
- Cut arm holes in the sides
- Decorate the vest with Elmer’s Squeeze Creations, buttons, rick rack and anything else!
