- Let the vase dry fully.

Fun Facts
Did you know that millions of roses are grown just for Valentine’s Day each year? Red roses have long been linked with love and were said to be a favorite flower of Venus, the Roman goddess of love.
Tips
Tear the tissue paper instead of cutting it for a softer, textured look. Younger children may need help applying the Mod Podge evenly. Be sure the vase is completely dry before adding flowers or displaying it.
Patterns, Templates and Printables
This craft does not require a printable template. Use tissue paper in festive Valentine colors to create your own unique design.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension
This Valentine craft is a great way to introduce kids to recycling and creative reuse. Talk about how everyday objects like glass vases can be turned into gifts or decorations instead of being thrown away. Students can also practice color patterns, design choices, and fine motor skills while placing the tissue paper pieces.
For writing practice, ask children to create a short gift tag or Valentine message to go with their vase.
