Word Rocks
Word Rocks are a fun way to teach your child to read and create sentences. Start with simple sentences and then expand as your child understands the concept. Make sure the rocks are large enough so they don’t create a hazard. For older kids you can use the same concept for story telling.

Smooth Rocks
Paint
Paint Pens
Paint Brush
Newspaper
Instructions
Select smooth rocks with enough surface to write a word. Clean thoroughly and let dry.
Spread newspaper to protect your work surface.
Paint with your choice of color and let dry.
Use your paint pen to write a single word on each rock. Make sure your words can be used to make a variety of sentences.
