Handprint Easter Prayer

Prayer is an important part of Christian life, and this Handprint Easter Prayer craft is a sweet way to help kids remember to keep prayer in their everyday lives. The folded hands open to reveal a special prayer inside, and children can also write their own personal Easter prayer. This makes a meaningful Easter craft for kids and a wonderful Sunday School activity.

Supplies

  • Skin-colored construction paper
  • White paper
  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil or pen

Instructions

  1. Print the Handprint Easter Prayer pattern on white paper.
  2. Have each child place their left hand over one side of the prayer with fingers closed together and trace around it. Then place their right hand on the other side with the little fingers touching and trace that hand as well.
  3. Cut out the handprints carefully.
  4. Glue the handprints onto skin-colored construction paper if desired for extra sturdiness, or trace the pattern directly onto the construction paper before cutting.
  5. Fold the hands inward so they look like praying hands with the prayer tucked inside.
  6. Let the children read the prayer aloud or write their own Easter prayer inside for a more personal touch.
