Supplies

  • Card stock
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon
  • Hole punch
  • Pencil or pen for tracing
  • Bunny pattern

Instructions

  1. Print the bunny pattern and cut out the large bunny to use as your template.
  2. Choose a piece of sturdy card stock that measures at least 4 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches. Fold it in half crosswise so the finished card measures about 4 1/4 by 4 1/2 inches.
  3. Place the bunny template on the folded card stock with the base lined up along the bottom edge and the nose and toes resting on the fold. Trace around the bunny shape and mark the eye circle.
  4. Carefully cut out the bunny shape, making sure not to cut through the folded edge. Use a hole punch to punch out the eye.
  5. Tie a ribbon bow around the bunny’s neck to finish the card.
  6. Use the finished bunny as an Easter card, a dinner place card, or a cute spring decoration.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension

This Easter Bunny Card works well as a spring classroom activity. Students can write a short Easter greeting or kind note inside the card for a family member or friend. Teachers can also use the smaller bunny version as a place card craft for a spring party or classroom celebration.

For a writing extension, ask children to write one sentence inside the card about what they enjoy most about Easter or springtime. This turns the project into both a craft and a simple literacy activity.
