Looking for a great last minute costume? This DIY Pizza Costume is the answer. Trick or Treating is even more fun when the kids get into the act of creating their own costumes. Whether your kids are bundled up or enjoying the sun, this costume is easy to get into and out of when Trick or Treating is over.

Trivia:

The tradition of trick or treat originated as a way for the Celtic and other European people to hide from the spirits who returned this time of year. People wore masks when they left their homes after dark so the ghosts would think they were fellow spirits. To keep the ghosts out of their houses, people would place bowls of food outside to make them happy. 

Supplies

• White Paper
• Six Broccoli Pages
• Three Mushrooms Pages
• Three Pepperoni Pages
• Two Olive Pages
• 2 Pieces of Red Poster Board
• Cardboard (for crust)
• 1 Yard 2″ Ribbon
• Scissors
• Glue
• Yardstick
• Pencil
• Hot Glue

Instructions

1. Click on Printables and print six broccoli pages, three mushrooms pages, three pepperoni pages, two olive pages. Cut out all pieces.
2. Cut the poster board into a large triangle.
3. Cut cardboard into a crust shape.
4. Glue crust and toppings on poster board triangles.
5. Cut ribbon in half. Glue ribbon to top back of both pieces of pizza to fit comfortably over the child’s shoulders. Easy on and off.

Editor’s Note: If you like your pizza with different toppings feel free to create your own to add to the mix.
