Turn an ordinary pencil into a crafty masterpiece and watch the smiles on all the kids' faces.


Supplies

Craft Foam, green and blue
Hole Punch
Pencils
Foam Glue
Pipe Cleaners/Chenille Stems
Tacky Glue
Large and medium Pom Poms
Wiggly Eyes
Ribbon
Scissors

Instructions

1.Cut strips of green and blue foam 12” long by 1” wide.

 

2.Use hole punch to punch holes 1” apart down the center of strips. Save hole punchouts.

 

3.Push pencil through holes to create worm body. Refer to photo.

 

4.Glue lime green punchouts randomly onto blue strips and blue punchouts onto lime green strips with Aleene’s® FunCraft™ Foam Glue. Refer to photo. Let dry.

 

5.Twist a chenille stem around the metal binding holding the pencil eraser to create the antennae. Glue small pompoms to the ends of chenille stems with Aleene’s® Fast Grab Tacky Glue®. Let dry.

 

6.Glue a large pompom to the pencil eraser with Aleene’s® Fast Grab Tacky Glue® to create the head. Glue googly eyes to the front of large pompoms and a medium pompom between the eyes to create the nose. Let dry for 30 minutes.

 

7.Optional: Cut a piece of ribbon and tie into a bow. Glue bow on top of pompom
