The materials for this Halloween Balloon Activity are inexpensive and the kids will have a lot of fun being creative. You could also create a bouquet of these special balloons and weigh them down with a rock outside your door to greet trick or treaters. Just because we can’t get together for a big party, it doesn’t mean we can’t have fun.

Supplies

• White and Orange Balloons
• Black Markers (we used the permanent ones)
• Helium tank (optional)
• String

Instructions

1. It’s really simple. Have the kids blow up the balloons. If you choose you can have one of those helium tanks that you rent at a party store so the kids can float their balloons on high. You may have to help them tie them off.
2.  Then supply the kids with a black marker to create their own ghosts and jack-o-lanterns. It might be helpful if they drew their ideas out on a piece of paper first so they knew what they wanted on their finished masterpiece.

Have extra balloons? Check with the local children’s hospital to see if you can share them with the patients.
