Grassy Potato Hedgehog Craft

This fun animated website has great graphics and animated directions for their projects that are listed alphabetically in two categories: Under 6 and Over 6.

This is a fun and interesting way to teach youngsters about the way things grow. 


Supplies

Grass seed

Cotton wool

Half a potato

Knife (to be used by responsible adult)

Tablespoon or ice cream scoop

Instructions

Cut a potato in half.

 

Scoop out the middle and replace with cotton wool.

 

Dampen the cotton wool.

 

Sprinkle on seed it will grow very quickly!
