Here's a Pirate's Hat that's easy for little hands. Supplies Long strip of thin cardboard Piece of black cardstock or heavy paper White foam Scissors Glue Stapler Feathers Sequins or stickers Click here for printables Instructions Cut a thin strip of cardboard. Measure it to the circumference of your child's head and staple it together.
Click on printables and print out the pattern for the hat and decorations.
Fold your black piece of cardstock in half. Then cut out the shape of the Pirate hat.
Trace a jolly roger outline onto a piece of thin white foam or cardboard. Carefully cut out and stick to the front of the hat. Alternatively, cut out the jolly roger shapes on the following pages and stick them directly onto the hat.
Tape on some colorful feathers and stick on some sequins or stickers to form a contrasting border.
Staple the black hat to the headband you created in step one. Contributor
