These projects are created by Terri, Betty, Jamie or one of the talented staff members at MakingFriends.com. They have been created exclusively for publication on FreeKidsCrafts.com with supplies you'll be able to find around your house.

Here's an opportunity for kids to demonstrate how they feel without getting totally frustrated. One crown says I'm happy and the other says I've got issues. Sometimes just the ability to express the feelings helps.

Instructions

Fold the plate in half and use a large jar top or round item to draw a half circle in the plate.Make sure that the center of the circle is on the fold.

Cut the plate out along the natural circle formed by the plate leaving the bottom half of the circle attached to the rim.

Make a second crown using the same process. You might even paint it a different color to match the mood.

Open and paint one side with the yellow paint.

After the paint dries, draw a smiley face on one and a frown on the other.
