Owls have become a favorite  with adults and kids alike. The charming little fellow designed by Stephanie of FreeKidsCrafts.com can be made from foam and scrapbooking paper as pictured or with construction paper for a more economical version.


Supplies

Foam: Brown, Yellow and Orange

Wiggle Eyes

Scrapbooking Paper

Scissors

Tacky Glue*

 

*If using construction paper, you can use glue sticks.

Instructions

Using the picture as a reference, cut out an egg shaped body and two wings from the brown foam.

 

Cut two wings from the brown foam and glue to the back of the body.

 

Cut two triangles from brown foam for the ears and glue to the back of the body.

 

Cut scalloped strips from three different papers and glue alternately on the body.

 

Cut inner ears from yellow foam and glue on ears using picture as a reference.

 

Glue on wiggle eyes.

 

Cut triangle from orange foam for beak and glue between eyes.

 

Cut two feet from orange foam and glue to back of body.

 

You can use this design or make your own origianal one. Don't be afraid to be creative.
