Make this DIY July 4th Centerpiece to set the scene for your celebration or birthday party. My son was born on July 1st so over the years we have always had a patriotic theme for his birthday. This July 4th centerpiece is something that works no matter how old the birthday celebrant. Have the kids make one or a dozen.

Supplies

• Printer
• White Construction Paper
• Scissors
• Glue Stick
• Water Glasses
• Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils (Optional)

Instructions

1. Print out the colored or black and white pattern for each child.
2. Carefully fold in the middle and have the kids cut along the black lines up to the band of stars.
3. Unfold the pattern and glue the top row of stars to form a circle around the top edge of your glass. Repeat with the bottom row at the bottom of the glass; bending the middle outward to form the lantern. Use the picture as a reference.

It’s as easy as that.
