Celebrate Shark Week. Summer crafts for kids are often beach themed because that's where everyone wants to be. This "friendly" shark will add a whimical decoration to a boy's room or summer party.


Supplies

Americana Neons Paints
   DHS6 - Electric Blue
Americana Acrylics
   DA234 - Calypso Blue
Foam sheets: blue, white
1 wood disk, optional
Water container
Palette or plastic plates
Paper towels
Scissors
Tracing and transfer paper
Pen or stylus
Low-temp hot glue gun and glue sticks
Permanent fine point black marker

Instructions

Editor's note: Let dry between steps.

 

Position and glue pots top to top for body.

 

Paint body Calypso Blue.

  
Paint over Calypso Blue with Electric Blue.


Trace and transfer pattern for fins in blue foam and teeth on white foam. Use scissors to cut out.

 

Position and adhere fins, teeth, and wiggle eyes.


Optional: Glue wood disk, button, or other flat object on bottom to prevent rolling.
