Sloth Mother's Day Card Craft

Sloths are all the rage these days so we thought we would add them to our card collection for Mother’s Day. This card is appropriate for non traditional families as well and is available in printable color or black and white for the kids to color.

Trivia:

Without sloths there would be no avocados. The extinct giant ground sloths were some of the only mammals that had digestive systems large enough to process the huge avocado seeds whole. They feasted on the fruit and then dispersed the seeds far and wide. All tree sloths that we see today evolved from giant ground sloths. Supplies

Heavy White Paper or Card Stock
Scissors
Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils (optional)

Instructions

Print out as many copies of either the colored template or the black and white one so that each child has their own.
Set the kids up at a comfortable work station.
If you are using the black and white option, have the kids color their card before they cut them out. It makes it easier.
Cut around the outside of the card on the lighter lines and then fold in half using the project picture as reference.
