Australian Kangaroo Dot Painting Craft

January 26th is Australia Day. In celebration the FreeKidsCrafts Team has designed this Kangaroo Dot Painting in the style of the Aboriginal peoples. Use our pattern or design one of your own.


Supplies

Tan construction paper

Pencils with flat top eraser

Paints

Brush

Paper plate

Instructions

Click on Printables and print out the kangaroo pattern or draw a design of your own.

 

Using the brush paint the silouette of the kangaroo brown

 

Using the picture as a guide put a small quantity of each paint on the plate using it as a palatte. Lightly dip the eraser end of the pencil in the paint and then apply it to the picture as shown.

 

Look up examples of Aboriginal painting to inspire your young painters.
