After Easter the kids will have all those plastic Easter eggs laying around. These Recycled Plastic Egg Bugs are the perfect craft project to give them a second life and the kids will have a lot of fun making up their own insects.

Supplies

• Plastic Easter Eggs
• Pipe Cleaners
• Permanent Black Sharpie Marker
• Hot Glue Gun & Glue
• Small Wiggle Eyes

Instructions

1. Look closely at these Recycled Plastic Egg Bugs and you will notice that some of them are screwed together and some are glued to give the body a different shape. The kids can make their bugs any way they want to.
2. Screw matching color bottom and top together or mix them up like the lady bug. if you are making the purple bug, glue the two halves side by side with each other. This gives the bug a higher body.
3. Use your Sharpie to draw markings on the body of the bug to create a realistic or a completely unique bug.
4. Glue wiggle eyes on the head of your bug.
5. Using the picture as a reference, cut the pipe cleaners to an appropriate length for the type of leg you want to create and bend accordingly.
6. Hot Glue legs to the body.

Have fun playing with the only bugs Mom won’t mind having around the house.
